Description

Part of the Stickleaf Family (Loasaceae), this photo is Rock Nettle. The plant is sprawling, vinelike, with hooked hairs on the leaves that can really hurt passers by. Flower is about 3" across, light yellow with 5 petals and sports long, prominent stamens. Flowers open in late afternoon. Very pretty but avoid use by walkways.
